History and Timeline

Kalinga Literature  Festival was launched in 2014 to celebrate the language and Literature. . The festival director is the Rashmi Ranjan Parida and it is produced by Odisha Diary Foundation ,  Odisha Media Info Service Pvt ltd   organizing annual Kalinga Literary Festival (KLF) every year on June or July at Bhubaneswar  

First Kalinga Literature Festival 2014

Central Theme: Celebrating the Language and Literature.  Jnanpith Award winners  Sitakanta Mohapatra  was the Chief guest and Pratibha Ray  was the guest of honor.

Second Kalinga Literature Festival 2015

Central Theme: Literature as Reflection

The key sessions Great Debates Ensue at 1st Day of Kalinga Literary Festival : Literature has great role in Nation Building,  focused on a wide range of topics including Romanticism and contemporary literature, Feminism in contemporary Literature, Parallel Cinema and contemporary Literature, Dalit & Tribal Literature, Media, Medium, Message & Literature, Bhasa Sahitya Vs English Literature and many other inter-related issues.  

Third Kalinga Literature Festival 2016

Central Theme:Literature and Democracy

Key Note Speakers:  Subramanian Swamy,  Mani Shankar Aiyar

The key sessions focused on topics like dialogue, development and democratic spirit in literature, a literary journey of Kalinga, governance in Odia language, youth, women, media, sports, folk and regional literature and the like.
